Greg Zahner is an MD candidate and a Pathways Clinical Research Fellow at UCSF School of Medicine. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, he obtained a BA in neuroscience from Claremont McKenna College and an MSc in Management from the University of Bath. He is currently on leave from full-time studies to conduct pre-doctoral research and he also works as an MD Fellow for McKinsey & Co. to further his combined interests in academic medicine and management of health systems.

Greg's primary research interests involve markers of vascular health as well as the link between mental illness and vascular disease. He currently conducts research with Dr. Marlene Grenon, Associate Professor of Surgery at UCSF and the San Francisco VA Medical Center. He has received funding from the NIH, UCSF, Society for Vascular Surgery, and American Heart Association.
